MUTRIS was founded by Prof Mostaghimi and Prof Armstrong in 2015 to perform applied research and develop advanced methods for multiphase flow and transport in porous media and in specific their application in the minerals and energy resources sectors. Our staff and students are working on a range of topics from micro-CT imaging and modelling to applied machine learning and from hydrogen storage to mineral recovery. Below is the list of our current and former staff. In 2016, MUTRIS group received Research Excellence Award in the Faculty of Engineering for performing high quality of research in the field of porous media.
